Decided on a whim to find a different place to eat, and wandered into Plano Kitchen and Bar after peak lunch hour. Clean and casual, sports on the big screens, classic rock on the speakers, friendly service and a nice view of the historic downtown street. Food seemed a bit pricey but portions are large, filling, fresh, well prepared and well presented. Saw a half-price burgers sign for Mondays, so that offer might sway some interest. Parking in front may be a challenge at peak times but there is additional parking nearby, and lots to see within walking distance.

Great food! Great service. Went on Tuesday to get $2 tacos. Their pies look AMAZING! Kind of dark atmosphere but that seems to be a theme for the area.

The Patty Melt... Let me emphasize that more. THE Patty Melt! It is the BEST Patty Melt I've ever had. The setting is cozy. The music is a reasonable volume for non-yelling conversation. The staff is friendly. The food is QUALITY at it's finest. Did I mention the flippin' Patty Melt... dear sweet baby Jesus it was heavenly.

Let's just say the bad outweighed the good by far! Waited forever just to get menus, in a place that had a total of 6 customers and they were at the bar and I'm guessing friends of the bartender...... Every staff member in the place was either sitting at the bar staring at a phone or trying to avoid even taking a drink order. Our silverware was even dirty!! Chicken fried steak and makes potatoes def not worth the money.... The burger was actually pretty good but that's about all I can say positive about the whole experience. I have a feeling this place won't be around to much longer.

Some things in life come easy...good food is some times hard to find. I came here to check it out and left wondering! What have I been doing my whole life without having the sweet satisfaction of Plano kitchen and bar mouth watering food in my mouth!
