We originally booked it because it stated that it offered a fishing area but when we got there it was a very small grassy area that was actually the front yard to an apartment complex! It was off of the motel site and we actually had to drive to it. There was also a grill and benches there which they told us not to use because they were for the apt tenants only so we ended up going down the road for fishing where we had to pay close to the same amount we paid to stay at this motel! The worse part is that my kids did not get to enjoy much of their time at the pool! Sadly our plans did not come out the way we had hoped for because we used the room to sleep only instead of enjoying a day of fishing and pool for the kids like we had planned!! In addition, because I am disabled I asked for a room close to the pool area but not only is the pool in the middle of the parking lot but the room we got was very far away for me to walk to! This made things worse because we got conflicting information from one front desk clerk to another! I do not recommend this place for a day of fishing nor pool activities!!

My husband and I have stayed here one night so far out of our 3 day 2 night trip. I really like this hotel. The staff was nice, the rooms are nice and tidy and upgraded. You seriously can’t beat the price and we are close to all the amenities. There is also an attached restaurant and a dock where you can rent a boat or a charter, and a little farther down the dock there is free fishing! We will definitely be coming back here, MAYBE with the kids next time lol I would recommend this place for sure. 💜 I love this place. Ps. There is a full bathroom but by the time I remembered to take pictures we have our stuff kind of everywhere, you should know what a toilet and sink look like. :)

The hotel is very nice! The outside doesn’t look appealing but the inside is amazing for a small hotel. Granite countertop kitchen area with sink, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. The showers a very nice. Next time we visit the area we are definitely staying here again.

Great place to stay. Nice staff, Good Food. Daniel & Casey Barfield, "the managers" have really turned this place into 5 Star Resort. Going above and beyond to meet me and my family's every need. Pleasant experience here at the White Sands.

We went there to eat. We had gone before it was good but today waiter was rude and sarcastic with us. I asked for refill and the waiter took the glass out of my hand very rude. We ordered chicken fingers and that chicken they brought looked like they just pulled from diffrent parts from chicken and were fried cause it didnt even look like what they said they were fingers.
