Went there once while driving through, and the huevos rancheros were just okay. Bacon rather cruddy. Be on the lookout, too, and if the waiter asks if you want chips and salsa before your meal, be aware that that is not a free appetizer. They will charge you for it. No complaints about the friendliness of the service, though. It seems to be a popular local spot.

I stopped here for breakfast today around 10:30 because I read so many great things about this place. Maybe my choice to grab to go was not the right one. The lady at the cash register was rude and short. I wanted to add avocado to my taco not guac and she rudely said no two times. I asked for 2 breakfast tacos with bacon and egg on corn tortillas and a tamale(which they only gave me one choice of chicken. When I opened up my food there were flour tortillas and the one of the tacos had a little more than a pinch of chopped bacon. My tacos were good and the tamale had a nice flavor. Maybe I would have gotten better service if I was dining in, but for a first time customer I did not feel welcomed.

Great Food. Anytime time I am near the area I have to stop by. Been several times and always consistently good. Tamales are especially well done. I live in San Antonio so you know I have had a lot of different Mexican food and this place is one of the best.

Great place to eat, friendly staff, plenty of seating, and great food. carne guisada taco was really good, tamale was good, bean taco was ok. Will definitely go back to try there Barbacoa and get more carne guisada tacos.
