My family had been going to the one in Arlington for years. For birthdays and other special occasions. It is the kind of food I grew up on in Tucson. Good steaks, beans, and great atmosphere. It is a place where you can wear old jeans and feel like you are well dressed. We were sad when the Arlington restaurant closed down and was replaced with a fancy restaurant. While on a trip to Denton, I heard that they still had a restaurant there. It was everything we loved about the old Arlington location. It has a metal slide for kids. A band and dancing. Great steaks. Okay, it may not be a New York City five star, but to me, it is better than a five star restaurant. They know what they are good at and they do it well. BTW, the steak I had was perfect! Yum! Fun!

First time at Sanger location. Similar decor to original place. Has a small dance floor. Overall experience was just slightly less impressive as before. One steak was very tender but undercooked the other was cooked perfectly but hard to chew. The ranch dressing lacked something, was good but uninspired. Baked potato needed chives but was cooked correctly. Same great beans and Texas today. Very fair prices though! 8 oz. sirloin was only $8.99 (Sun-Thu).

Fun place. I think it's the last one. Good prices for great streak, in a place 5 generations of our family's been to at least 1 of the locations, from my grandparents, to my grandson. Thanks, Trail dust! Don't forget the slide!!

We stopped by while traveling through the area and the food was good. The steaks were done as requested and okay. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Service was okay when we could get her attention.

Best steak I've had in a very long time! My kids all loved their meals and had a blast on the slide. Definitely worth the trip for some nostalgic memories from childhood. Wish we had a location closer, so we could go more often!
