La Mesa doesn’t need my review. The parking lot is always full. That should tell you something. I ate there for the first time today 2/20/18. I happened to sit next to a very nice couple with their children. I talked to the man asking what he liked to order and stood and shook his hand as they left. I learned that the lady was the daughter of the family that managed the restaurant. After I finished my food my waitress told me my meal had been taken care of by the couple that sat next to me. They wanted my first impression to the best they could provide. I started to cry...go ahead and jerk my man card. Now I know this has nothing to do with the quality of the food and service. Both were incredible. If you leave here hungry, you died from satisfaction before you finished. I’m just a maintenance guy but when you come, look for me sitting at the two top in the corner. I Love this place!

Decided to eat here tonight and we were not impressed. I go here all the time and normally their great but tonight the food was terrible. When I told the cashier she just said they got a couple of new chefs and hoped it would be better next time. Our meal was not worth $35 that's for sure. The chicken padilla was so tough, it felt like I was chewing on rubber and my husband was not happy with their brisket taco or beans it came with. That's saying a lot since my husband will eat just about anything. Very disappointed.

I have been frequenting La Mesa for years and can honestly say, I don't think I have ever had a bad experience! The staff is always super attentive and fast. The food is always great and comes to the table piping hot! Will always recommend La Mesa to anyone who will be in the area and we will continue to dine there anytime we are in Sherman and have time to stop!

Great food. Great service. Great prices. Music was not the best. Maybe it was a blown speaker?

Although located in my hometown and beloved by everyone it just isn't for me. Everything I've tried there wasn't up to par. I settle for the fajita taco salad. The only thing I'll eat there.
