This place is awesome and just around the corner from the original red iguana. I would say if one is crowded try the other. We sat on the patio and it was lovely. The service was amazing as well. We were able to get a mole sampler and try all the different flavors, even though we did not see it on the menu. Margaritas were also fabulous. This is a must visit if in the Salt Lake area.

If you're looking for an authentic (not an all 'betos' or Mexican fast food) Mexican food establishment, then Red Iguana is for you! They are located around the outskirts of the center of the city but have a spacious location that can be very packed on the weekend. (I'd call beforehand to make sure) Now, this place is worth the wait! I remember having some of their enchiladas and they are to die for! The flavor is authentic and the staff is overall friendly. If I had to recommend anyone on an authentic Mexican experience, it would be Red Iguana no doubt!

This is one of the best Mexican food restaurants in Salt Lake. The food is excellent, portions are big. Can’t go wrong with the enchiladas, but really, just about everything is good. Only downside is that the parking gets crowded. We ended up parking in the street, but other people were waiting for a spot. No reservation needed, prices are decent, staff is great. It can get crowded, so plan ahead if you are short on time.

We got seated almost immediately, and the service was very good. My drink was very rarely empty, and never for long. I got the enchiladas and was a little disappointed in the saturation of a red pepper flavor for the first one but was pretty plesently satisfied with the rest of my dish. The portions were generous and filling for the price. Overall a positive experience.

Not really any Vegan options. Staff was kind. Service was not consistent. Waited 15 minutes for my check. It was packed. Parking was limited if you didn't use valet parking, that was free, but I tip, so it wasn't. However it's in an area you want your car being watched. Cool Iguana outside that my daughter loved and was excited to touch. Kind of cool having a train go by, gave her something else to talk about and enjoy.
