Good pastrami Swiss sandwich, nice soft bread. I tasted my friends clam chowder and liked it better than the creamy tomato which seemed too thin and very simple. The store looks and feels a little old but sometimes it’s hard to change a classic. They also offer grilled cheese sandwiches, burgers and salads. I was glad to have ample and accessible parking in the back. I would recommend, and plan to return when near the Sugarhouse area.

My favorite place to get tomato soup and the best bread sticks I’ve ever had. Sometimes inexpensive doesn’t mean less, in the soup kitchens case it’s inexpensive and great. I remember going here when I was a child. The decor reminds me specifically of my childhood. Bless this place and all of the memories it gave me

I like this place. The staff is nice. It's probably the fullest you can get on a $5 meal. The price is great. The atmosphere is cool. I like to get a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. Neither are amazing, but it's just decent comfort food here.

I've been going to the Soup Kitchen for 18 years. Good hearty soup and sandwiches. Great prices. The creamy tomato and potato leek (Tuesday's soup special) are favorites. This is a no frills restaurant at any location. Great for a quick lunch or dinner.

Quaint little classic restaurant establishment, clean family atmosphere, nothing fancy. It hasn't changed one bit in at least 30 years. Hearty clam chowder (& other soups) and the Rubin Sandwich is as good as any basic Rubin in New York or Chicago.
