Food was outstanding, beer selection was on point (per my husband), and service was great!! Our group was of 20+ people, that they at last minute accommodated, our visit was also on a busy Friday night. They were awesome! We were put in our own room, and where made to feel like this dinner was no different then if we had walked in off the street with a small party for dinner. I'd rate burgers with some of the best I've had, the fish and chips were marvellous, and shepherds pie delicious (could have used a few more veggies but that's my personal taste). We will definitely be making plans to go back!!!!!

Bad experience on our first visit. Took longer than usual for food to arrive. My fish taco meal came and was promptly returned due to a long piece of hair embedded in fish contents. Upon telling the waitress she apologized and asked if I wanted anything else. I said no since my family would be finished by the time I got a replacement. When she brought the check she assured us that we weren’t charged for that meal. Also, when lettuce is served with burgers it should be fresh not wilted.

Our choral group, Solaris, recently invaded McGillicuddy's on a Saturday night and we were not disappointed. It's pretty tough to put about 40 people in a room, assign one waitress to that party and have everything go smoothly. But go smoothly it did, and that waitress was amazing. She didn't know how to say "no, we don't have that or no we can't do that". Now that's what I'm talking about. We'll be back.

I visited the new location in Essex Junction and it was pretty good. Food was tasty and affordable, waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The lighting is very dim, but it's a pub so that's to be expected. LOTS of TVs to watch sports. Maybe more than buffalo wild wings. Nice joint to come watch a football game and have a cold one with the boys, or treat the family to dinner on Saturday night as well.

Went here recently to watch a game on the TV. Ordered the fish and chips. My expectations weren't too high as this being a sports bar. However, the fish was cooked perfectly and was smooth and silky. Also different than most places that offer fish and chips was the batter. Instead of huge chunks of fried batter, this was more of a thin crust around the fish. Nice sports bar for the junction area, also offering a lot of Vermont craft beers.
