Love it! LaPorta’s has been around for so many decades! The fact that the Mom and Dad restaurant is now owned and operated by the five siblings since their passing is, to me, amazing! The brothers and sister get along well enough to keep this, spot-on, place. They are doing very well! I love the fact of their location being on the edge of main Old Town yet parking after 5 is free and so close (down the alley and only 50 feet from the restaurant) and is covered (so great during incremental weather or having a patron whom is troubled walking from too long a distance). I love their amazing side dishes and the Monday and Tuesday night special which is unbeatable! I love their homemade (and mom’s) original recipe desserts! Fresh Italian with modern overtures! Live jazz, nightly and delicious, unique brunch on Sundays! Love it!

This family owned restaurant feels like home. The waiters shared the history of the restaurant, were attentive, and efficient. There was live music, light jazz on the piano. The food was excellent. The fried oysters appetizer was great! I had the Haddock and it was flavorful.

Food was excellent. I had lasagna. There was piano player and we were seated in a crowded table for two. It was very loud, i felt like i had to yell to talk to my husband, and i could hear the couple next to us clearly. Also there were people seated outdoors even though it was in the 60's. we got a draft every 30 seconds when waiters and guests went in and out.

Great food with wonderful ambiance that is offset by live music to soothe the soul. Staff is also really good at what they do which cements the whole experience. It was just what I needed at the end of a work week. Just how one's dining experience should be

Very good atmosphere!! Our bartender Laura was excellent as she is beautiful. Took very good care of my lady and myself. The music was on point too. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. A very good spot and I will be back
