Thai Gormet is an amazing restaurant! I try to stay away from fast food, so I was hesitant to try this, but I was so happy with how natural and fresh the food was; It is not like typical Chinese food filled with MSG. Each order is made from scratch and is filled with real meat and fresh vegetables. SO delicious! You can customize how spicy you want it too; they go by how many (literal) spicy peppers you want. I personally love spice so I get two or three pepper spice, but if spice isn't your thing you can get no peppers at all. The Basil Fried Rice and Pad Thai are probably my favorite dishes. I could eat them every day and never get sick of them! The portions are very generous too; you can easily get two meals out of one dish. The restaurant is also quite family friendly and a great place to bring kids. Whether you are traveling through VA or if you live near and have never given this restaurant a try I would highly recommend stopping by and trying the incredible food. Just be warned though, there is a serious chance of becoming completely addicted for life like I did :)

We LOVE the food at Thai Gourmet. We have gotten take out at least fifty times, and were delighted every time. I especially love the Basil Fried Rice with beef. You can choose your meat or seafood and your spice level. I also love the Shrimp Tempura. Anything we have tried has been fresh and delicious! It is a nice place to eat too, very clean and laid back. And the owners are very kind people. I highly recommend it if you are passing by, or for your new favorite take out. ;)

Thai Gourmet became an instant staple for my family. Best fried rice I've ever had. Portions are large - we easily get another meal from the leftovers. Also they gave Pepsi *and* Coke.

So... we'll never know if it's good or not because when we arrived 40+ minutes before they closed they refused to serve us. You're either open or you aren't. Unbelievable.

Real average Thai food that somehow tasted like a marriage between Thai and Chinese food - hard to explain this until you tried it. I've never had anything like this and a group of us tried the yellow and red curry, pad wunsen and the larb. Was a real let down from the reviews especially for someone who grew up eating and cooking authentic Thai food.
