I am so glad Cafe Michel’s decided to move back to our hometown because I had never tried it but when I finally did I loved it! The steak that I have ordered twice there is delicious and my favorite thing is the side of pasta. I could eat that as a main dish! It’s so amazing. Michel is always coming out and greeting his guests which shows how kind and hospitable he is. All of the staff are very friendly as well. Definitely recommend!

I have been dining at Cafe Michel since the 1980's and have never been disappointed. The food is wonderful, and the staff is very friendly.

Some of the best food you'll find in the area. Filet mignon was one of the best prepared cuts of beef I've had in months. Very friendly staff. Chef is very friendly - visits table regularly to discuss food and meet guests. If you're spending a night near Clifton Forge it's a great dining experience.

Cafe Michel was recommended to us by other people we knew so we found the restaurant in Clifton Forge. The interior was nice and the waitress was perfect! ... the disappointment came when the meal was served. I ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, they were breaded and soaked with oil but I ate them. My main dish was poached salmon that was different from any other salmon I've ever eaten and I don't mean in a good way, it had no texture and was sitting in sweet lobster sauce. If this is French cooking I'll pass. The salad was good but no better than I've had in less expensive restaurants. My wife said her food was okay but we agreed that for the money we'll go elsewhere. I've read glowing reviews from others and wish we could say the same.

It's always a pleasure to dine here. Home grown vegetables that explode with flavor. I don't bother with the menu any more, I just order one of Michel's specials and enjoy!
