I love going here in the spring and summer. Great view, good music and a happy atmosphere. I haven't been to Tim's River shore since 2013/2014 and I went a few nights ago and I wasn't impressed on the food. I ordered the crab cake dinner and my crab cakes were over cooked. My daughter had fried shrimp and from the taste the oil must been used a few times too many because it had a funny after taste. Needs a little improvement in the kitchen area but its a good place to go for a good scene.

Depends on what you want. A fun, southern style Crab shack, on the water, open air, fresh seafood, beer plentiful, beachfront, tattoos visible—then this is your place. And while the seafood is fresh and tasty, as a restaurant this place is not impressive. The kitchen is to small to serve a busy crowd, the wait staff is confused (gave our appetizers to another table, didn't ask if we wanted dessert before bringing check, don't know if they ever charged tip to our credit card), distant parking, no reservations. The train cuts both ways: it's fun to have the train blow through, but it's really close! Expensive, too. Fun experience, a little rowdy, a hint of mischief: come right in. Responsive dining exeprience? Walk on by.

The place ambiance was good. The food was good. However, I gave it a 2 star for the price of the food and the quality of the food. I am from Louisiana and I realize nothing will compare, but 5 shrimp and 6 oysters on a plate dinner was not worth the price. We also had the crab balls, delicious. The shrimp appetizers that we ordered was full of frozen shrimp, not very good. We will probably not go back.

Horrible!! Food, bland river seafood. Smoking everywhere. Who allows smoking in eating establishments anymore. A blast of nicotine with every bite. If you have asthmatic children dont bring them here. Awful for my kids. Its paradise for the 40 to 50 something shirtless tattoo singles. Server was actually good.

Fast friendly service! Excellent menu and generous portions. It was a dreary day but I am sure its location on the Potomac will leave one breathless day or night.
