The service was excellent, as well as the food. They have some very unique items on the menu, like ostrich steak; which I didn't get to try, as they were out. The food and the cocktails are all reasonably priced. The food is well seasoned, well presented, and all around very enjoyable. The atmosphere is what really appealed to me the most. I love that I didn't have to go to DC to enjoy good live jazz and that there are venues in Fairfax County dedicated to hosting jazz bands -- an already underappreciated music genre as it is.

Tonight we came for drinks and soup instead of dessert. Enjoyed the live music with a friend joining the band. The Ice House is closing after New Year's Eve. It has been a 40 year run and many delicious meals, great music and an attentive staff. Farewell.

first time visiting good atmosphere good food. It's a shame its closing.

The Ice House is a great venue. There's live entertainment on the weekends and it's usually quite good. The food is generally good, and the wine is well priced. We had the smoked duck quesadilla, and the prawns bourbon street style. Both were good, but the shrimp was overly salty.

We booked a table for nine through the website and called ahead to make sure they received it. When we got there, it took 30 minutes to get drinks (the waiter was also the bartender). We also ordered 4 appetizers along with the drinks and only received 2 of them after waiting 45 minutes. We didn't bother ordering entrees, went to Jimmy's across the street instead. This place is nothing like the website, the restaurant is showing it's age - falling apart in places and the walls are covered in taxidermy. Of the drinks we did receive, 2 of them had fruit flies floating in them. Incredibly disappointing, stay away!
