My husband and I have eaten at Moonshadows a few times, and we have never been disappointed. We took my Mom and a couple of friends there last night for my Mom's birthday, and it was such a special experience. The food, staff, and atmosphere were perfect!! It is wonderful to have a place that is so elegant, yet comfortable and inviting. Thank you, Maureen, John, and staff!! We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication!

Delicious fancy meal! This place gets really busy on weekend and reservations are a must to be sure of a table. Their is dining upstairs, downstairs and on the front covered porch. The menu is somewhat limited, but the choices are exquisite! I had the Grilled Spring Shrimp and loved every bite of it!

Excellent menu, cooked and served beautifully. I've been to Moonshadows twice now, and will return again. In addition to the food simply tasting good (last time I went my whole party had to trade bites of everything because we were so impressed), they also pay attention to little touches like how the sauce is arranged in the plate. I have a lot of favorites in Luray, but Moonshadows is the best.

If you are ever remotely near Luray you need to stop at this restaurant. The menu is updated seasonally, and we got the bruschetta with veggies and Jack cheese. It was the best vegetarian appetizer I think I've had. Our entrees (pictured) were the lake trout and the vegan black-eyed pea potato cakes. Both entrees had such imaginative flavor combinations that were executed with perfection!! And even the simple things, side veggies and strawberry shortcake dessert, were flawless. Cannot recommend enough.
