I am pleasantly surprised by something on every visit. I had no idea I liked octopus - until I tried the wood-grilled dinner special. A friend who ordered tonic and lime (while the rest of us had excellent old-fashioneds) now raves about the local brand of tonic they carry. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is a nice blend of informal and serious about their business. Do be aware that your clothes and hair will pick up the smell of the busy grill.

Loved this place!! Food was great! We ordered oysters, caviar, and the lamb as entrees. However my husband lamb was cold in the middle. When we told them they automatically apologized, grab the plate and made him a new one. No asking do you want us to remake it? Just automatically did it. This impressed me. Showed they were very concerned with putting out quality food. You can see the cook from the bar area. Which I found intriguing. They were busting out dishes like crazy. Great place to eat.

Arrived 20 minutes early for a 6pm reservation and was seated immediately. The waiter went over the specials and told us they were out of scallops which disappointed my daughter. We made our selections and placed our orders. Five minutes later the waiter came back to let us know that they had more scallops and wanted to know if anyone wanted some. We will return again for the excellent service and great food.

Great food, clearly, which is why the maitre'd could afford to be a bit snooty, in a French kind of way, when we arrived several minutes early for our 6:30 reservation. He instructed us to wait at the bar even though the place was nearly empty. We elected instead to walk around outside for a few minutes to kill time. As punishment, we were seated at a less than desirable table. On the plus side, the wait staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly. And every dish we tried was fantastic.

The first time we came here was when they first opened and again last night for our anniversary. It was great both times! The drinks are creative and food is flavorful. They know their stuff about the different types of oysters and are knowledgeable about their origins and flavors. The paella is amazing and my wife had and loved the borrige. Try the shrub spritzer too. Mine had grapefruit rhubarb.
