We stopped going here over a year ago because of a really bad experience. Then we went last week and again this week and were blown away by the improvements. Great, friendly staff from the hosts to the servers. The food was significantly better than before. The GM, Sheila Martin, was touching every table and asking genuinely if guests needed anything. I'm not sure what changed but I'm really glad it did.

11/17/18 here again. Forgot it was St. Patty’s day. Not a long wait. Service sucks. Listening around me they are over cooking the steaks. Mine included. Lesson learned, come when slow. Last time I was there was in 2015 when my Mom was still alive. It was her favorite place. I received coupons in the paper and was feeling like eating there. I got Edward as my waiter, turns out it was his second day. He did a great job and the food was really great. I have ordered Potato Skins as an app at other Restaurants near it and they were burned, these were so good, I could have had two orders and would have been filling enough, however, since I felt like a steak that is what I had. All the food was great. The service was even better.

Food is always good. They have free pie on Wednesdays. The pie is good too. Great family establishment, seats quickly and serves quickly. Never fails us when we don't feel like cooking.

We ordered blackened/grilled prime rib. It was neither grilled or blackened. He could only eat 1/3 of the steak, because it was 2/3rds gristle. We waitress said at least it's free pie wed. We will not come back to the Roanoke location. Christiansburg is 100% better!

I haven't been here in years and maybe see why not. The server was very polite. The quality of the food was subpar. The ribs were chewy and not fall of the bone. The chicken tenders were either soggy or crispy. The come slaw had not flavor at all. Just a really poor experience. BTW kids eat free with a paying adult.
