I was extremely excited at the prospect of not only another vegetarian restaurant, but one specializing in southern Indian food. The interior is bland to the point of feeling sterile - dark and quiet. They use a ton of foam containers and packaging, which surprisingly are still used if you eat-in. The food was tasty, however not being a native Indian I was unsure of the procedure for how to eat everything. Sorry to say but Amma was disappointing. Seemingly with just a few tweaks you could really transform this place into a bustling cafe!

Terrible!!! When we entered the store the place looked VERY dark and depressing. They never cleaned the tables and they were very dirty. The employee there looked very unhappy and the food wasn’t even that great. The food was too spicy and the soup was salty and bitter. It was a waste of money. Very disappointing...

The best Dosa I've enjoyed anywhere. It's a hike, but I'm constantly thinking I need to go back. Utilitarian seating, so come for the food

Food is not authentic and we received bad response from the staff. They were rude when we went to eat at the closing time. They said we will give you 5mins to eat and we have to close it. Instead they should not take the order or else dont give deadlines to customers. They want to sell food at closing time but customers are not supposed to sit and eat. Also when we said there is less salt in sambar they did not accept what we said.

Authentic south Indian food. Food is served quickly and very good. I wish they would stop using styrofoam for all their plates, bowls and cups.
