2017-09-12 the food and the service was excellent! Making a reservation may require some patience but good things come to those that wait! Call them, leave voicemail to make your reservation. They will call you back at their earliest convenience. Expect to be added to their waiting list and seating may not be available for 2 or 3 months, keep calling and ask them did anyone cancel, and they can/will add you to a closer date in the future if someone cancels. Had to pay $$$ upon arrival, everyone waited in the store/shop until 630pm, and then everyone moved to the dining room were rows of tables were set and seats are assigned, so look for your name on a card on top of the table. They serve sparkling cider, water and wine throughout dinner. When you enter, you pickup a glass of your choice of beverage, and they are serving little finger foods/snacks. There was a young man playing piano and shortly after everyone was seated, Chef John played a song or two on harmonica, accompanied by the young man on piano, that was very nice and entertaining. Chef John did most of the talking to and entertaining the guests, and Chef Nick did some talking and entertaining as well, Chef Nick did most of the food preparation, so that all can see. You will definitely learn a lot during this dinner class, how to cook and prepare items on the menu, ingredients to buy and not to buy, and a hardcopy of the recipes are handed out to all the guests, so you can read the recipe while watching the food being cooked, prepared and served. Sheree serves plates a special takes the plates and silverware after each part of the meal. There is also another young man that continuously restock the shelves of plates and cookware throughout dinner for Chef John and Chef Nick. The cornbread, the salad, the soup, the scallops, chicken and dessert were all very good and satisfying!
