I have visited The Jefferson twice, and each trip was a pleasant experience! I ordered the salmon meal both times and was pleased with the quality and taste of the meal. Warm bread is also brought to the table, which is always enjoyable. Last time, I tried their delicious chocolate cake for dessert, which was a delightful way to end the meal! The decor is friendly and inviting, reminiscent of simpler times and not pretentious at all. The servers are always pleasant and kind, and the owner has taken time to talk to us on both occasions. It is evident that he is very proud of his family's restaurant! Next time I am in Williamsburg, I'll be stopping back in to The Jefferson for another yummy meal.

Extremely overpriced. Slow service. Son ordered the country fried steak and the breading was soggy, the steak overcooked and it had a sour taste to it. I ordered the "presidential" cut delmonico steak ($30!!) and it was small, tough and overcooked. Ordered med rare and it was med well. Decor is gross with fake trees with xmas lights. Side of green beans, canned and gross. They are lucky they are in a tourist location, they cannot rely on repeat guests.

Service was excellent! Food was fantastic! Me and my wife have visited twice and both times the food was amazing!

Being A huge fan of real Southern food, a supporter of local establishments, and having a background in food service, I was drawn to their ads touting their longevity and still family owned. We ordered the Southern fried chicken and peanut soup. The food was barely edible; the entire place has a worn out dated look and Had a strange smell. The carpet is dirty. I did not bother with taking any pictures; just wanted to hurry and get out of there. Will NOT return and tourists beware!

Terrible overpriced meal. Prime rib nothing but fat. Only a few frozen fries, small salad, Left hungry after paying $30 a meal.
