The menu is lacking. The food is meh. The service is typically pretty good. One confusing thing is......when you walk in the sign says, "please what to be seated" We always wait at that sign.....sometimes for a few minutes with a completely empty restaurant and nobody comes out to greet us. We usually just walk in and get someone's attention now OR just walk in and sit down. The view is gorgeous which is what makes the stars on this review. This restaurant has such great potential but they are falling short consistently. I love the staff but they can only do as good as it is organized. The food really really needs some work. Went in for breakfast and ordered an item with "home fries" But the home fries were tater tots and they tasted like leftover tater tots which was gross. The biscuits and gravy are instant biscuits and instant gravy and not very good. I am wondering if anyone that manages the place actually tastes the food? It's glorified fast food. I would love to see these issues be remedied and get some good food in there seeing how it's pretty much the only option for dinner on the island. Would love to see some interesting healthy options beyond salad. I will end by saying I am NOT the only one in this community who thinks this way about the food and management of the restaurant but I think a lot of people don't want to offend anyone since this is such a small community. It's not going to change if people don't point out the problems so we can start working on them. Maybe the "new management" will bring about some positive changes but I haven't seen any of those yet.

Dinner in a Thursday night. Service acceptable, food marginal. Heard they were under new management and new menu. Must not have implemented yet. Will return and hope for much needed improvment.

Location, location, location! You can hardly find a more beautiful setting for a meal, especially on the outside deck in summertime! The food is on the good side of average, and service can be slow, but for crying out loud, you are on an island! No need to rush when you are literally sitting on the edge of a beautiful lake. If you are on the island, I wouldn't miss it. Come by for lunch, and maybe come back for happy hour if that's your thing! It's certainly part of the island experience.

This place could really be an amazing place but staff killed it for me. The best views over the lake, great outdoor seating, but we were not allowed to sit outside during happy hour. The place had 1 party of 3 on the patio so clearly not slammed. We had a party of 5 and had to sit at the bar inside because the waitress was told that's where happy hour was and could not let us sit outside unless the owner gave her permission. All the staff seemed to be super young and lacked experience. Now, prices and food quality were both decent but nothing I would recommend. I'm not sure I would be back.
