This was once one of my favorite local dinner and hang out spots. Upscale, yet comfortable dining area with bar attached by a doorway. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu has changed from fresh, expertly prepared dishes to something a kin to the Cheesecake Factory. However, the plunge in food quality has not affected the high prices. Maybe a change in owner or management? A few years ago I would have given Hector's 5 stars in all categories. After my visit 2 weeks ago I'm having a hard time mustering up 3 stars for this lake view wash up. I would still recommend this place for cocktails in the bar or the Sunday brunch, which is still pretty good, but I miss the Hector's that was at one time a date night staple for me and my wife. RIP Hector's.

Great spot to have breakfast and lunch. I came here one morning before work and service was amazing. Food was great and prices were reasonable.

Waiter said he was new so I can cut him some slack...was friendly enough. Salad and entree arrived together; appetizer came after entree. Food was OK. Restrooms without toilet paper or paper towels. Trash overflowing onto floor. No one seemed to know who was responsible to clean and restock bathroom. Wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

Took them almost an hour to bring us our appetizer (when there was only us and two other tables) which was just cold bread and packaged generic butter, not what was described in the menu (rosemary and salt butter). 10 or so minutes after that our food was brought out, my boyfriends sandwich was dry and the meat wasn't seasoned, my Greek salad was okay but the steak I had added to it was also not seasoned. The place is nice and the staff was friendly but the food quality and time management sucks. The hostess did seem a little annoyed when my boyfriend asked for more bread and that it actually be toasted and not just warm to the touch and still chilled on the inside, but the bread brought out the second time was toasted well. My wine was good also. First time we've ever been here, probably not ever going to return.

Great place for a bite and beverage. Had meatloaf and mashed potatoes, which was exactly what you thought... But really good. Slight touch of spice. Great selection of beers and drinks. Nice, classic decor of wood and leather, without being dark or gloomy.
