This place is a real puzzler. They seem to get the order wrong just about every time I go in, either mine of the party I am with. The food is okay, but the ambience is spectacular. Frankly I go for the Ambiance, not the food. I'm not exactly damning it with faint praise, but like just about every other restaurant in Kirkland, don't go for the culinary delight. Just go to hang out with your friends. If the weather is warm, and you can sit outside, it is without equal you will have a great time. Don't pay too close attention to what you're having, it will be okay and you will probably forget whatever you had. As I often say in these reviews I wish they had half stars because I would give it three and a half the Ambiance really is that good even if the food really is about two and a half.

Love the ambience n location. Food is okay, not too great. Been here a few times and I realized I prefer the food from Cactus (just a couple blocks away) over food here.

The food was really not that good All too dull n mild The complimentary chip before the meal was not free n had to order n pay When we got the bill after our meal It was $100 over charged We almost just paid thinking this was a very pricey place... what a rip off!! When we got the correct amount of bill n complained it was not even properly apologized (or got no coupon for next time or got no complimentary dessert something like that), the server yelled at us saying i said it was a mistake! It was not my fault!! Etc Sooooooko rude n inappropriate!!! Finally the manager we asked for came n apologized, but we were already in totally bad mood after trying to spend real special time with good friends (n spent so much too!) NEVER GOING BACK THERE, EVER!!

We came in about a week and a half ago for our anniversary dinner. I had been here several years ago and it was awesome. We were seated in the bar area so the bartender was our server. Our drinks were awesome and that was about it. Our food came out and was completely wrong for both of us. I ordered the chicken fajitas and my bf ordered the fish tacos. They brought me steak, no big deal, took it away but left the fajita fixings behind. The rice was either really old or really undercooked. Completely inedible. Then they brought my chicken and it tasted like charred ash. Like it was boiled and then thrown on the grill for a minute. No seasoning or anything. Such a disappointment after having great experiences before. Don't waste your time here, go to Cactus instead

Not authentic Mexican food but we knew that going in. Really enjoy their burritos, we were excited to stop by when we finally moved into town. Service was good. Only con I would say is the prices but you're eating in downtown Kirkland so that is to be expected. Will likely be back, especially this summer, they have a great patio.
