Many times, a few friends and myself, have attended Rico's establishment and every single time it has fallen short of adequate expectation. You come to realize the people show up because of its impeccable ambiance and weekly live music. However, if Rico's Pub were to be merited on it's service and quality alone, they'd be out of the business. Waiting times last no earlier than thirty minutes, the food is rushed and unsatisfactory (I'm saying that for Pub food!... think about that), and is overall incredibly frustrating. It's mental conundrum because you keep coming back due to the acknowledgment you notice it's potential. Rico's Pub has the ability to "kill it" in this town, but make it by with nostalgia alone. It's finally come time that I will be graduating and leaving Pullman... two year's I've been here, and for two years they have not gotten their act together. My best advice is to go there only a couple times for the novelty experience of being in a pub alone. After you've quenched that thirst, don't waste your money. The world has risen it's expectations for quality service and Rico's Pub simply cannot and WILL NOT supply it. Two years have passed and they still have complications with giving you your check because they keep one POS system open (THEY HAVE THREE REGISTERS AND ON BUSY NIGHTS KEEP ONE OPEN). Two years have passed and they still have the same manager in charge providing the same poor quality training for each and every employee. Two years....It's frustrating to see such potential go to complete waste.' I've never, in my life, not tipped.. Rico's was my first.

I am not sure how this place has as high of a rating as it does. As a graduate student lots of events end up here, and subpar is by far the best you can accept. The service is impossibly slow, and at many times non-existent. I am shocked this business has existed the 6 years I have lived in Pullman as every time I have gone to an event there its so difficult to give them money in the form of buying beer, the wait staff doesn't seem to care at all. Don't buy food either. Its pretty decent, but the time you wait to get it is rarely worth it.

Great local hangout. Good cocktails and beers on tap. Often has live music and other events. Can get crazy busy, and if you're splitting bills at a table, be sure it doesn't get mixed up.

The burgers are fairly decent. The drink menu is pretty decent. The live music... I don't know where they find some of these people, but they are amazing. The quantity of songs they know how to play as well as all of the lyrics is amazing. They always sound excellent. I've never been to a bar where the live music is great every time I visit! A tad noisy down on the floor, but really, the reason you go to Rico's is to chill with friends, have a few drinks, play billiards, and enjoy the music!

The food is alright, the beer selection is pretty good, and they tend to have live music on most nights. The service could definitely be better, but isn't bad enough to not go.
