Love the meats! Makes sense that this is what they do best. I found the sides to be edible, but not great. Coleslaw dressing was runny, Mac and cheese was gritty, beans seemed very basic. Pickles were delicious. I have gone back for meats and make my own sides at home. Totally worth it!

Order 1 lbs. Of brisket...cut thick...and from the small dry end....1/3 inch cuts. Starts to dry out. The sausage is not even smoked....just cook in an oven...good flavor but no smoke ring. Again just cooked on an oven. And the single order of side for 2.50 each....way over priced...buy the large size and split it a way better deal. 6 oz of cold slaw for 2.50 is not a deal....if you want 2 sides that is $5....stupid....best BBQ in town....but way over priced on the sides.

Brisket is very hard to get right. My hats off to whom ever made the brisket. It was very good, and very moist and flavorful. Pork ribs were also good, maybe a little dryer than I like but still good. The sandwiches seemed very tempting and plentyful. The sides came in just ok. Sweet tea was spot on. The only real complaint I would say is they ran out of stuff and there was still a lot time left before closing, and the prices seemed a little higher than my liking. I would still recommend Porter's but go early and be prepared to spend a little more. Happy dining.

Very good prime grade brisket, cooked perfectly! So tender to chew on. Also got the baked beans which were on the sweeter side and seemed to have lots of pepper added to it. The bun tasted like any bun. Compared to places in this area though, definitely this is the BEST option. When you’re done eating here, you can top off your night with some wine at Ms Rhoda’s Wine Bar which is about 10-15 steps from this place.

Always delicious! I hear the turkey is amazing, but can't seem to get enough of their bacon wrapped, cheddar filled jalapeno poppers, brisket, and bannana pudding!
