I treated a friend to Afternoon Tea at The Georgian this past weekend. My friend has an incredibly long list of allergies (including dairy and nuts) and I reached out to SEVERAL establishments that offer afternoon tea within a 100 mile radius of Seattle, but only The Georgian was willing to make such allergy accommodations. It was an extended process -- I contacted the Food and Beverage Coordinator via email in mid-March and it took >2 weeks of back and forth to verify that accommodations could be made and to schedule a reservation. For others seeking allergy accommodations, I recommend planning well in advance and perhaps calling instead of emailing. Overall, the staff were incredibly friendly and had top notch service. We really appreciated the opportunity to smell the teas and learn a bit about each before ordering. The tea pots were consistently refilled, offering an almost bottomless experience. The tiers were varied, well paired, and incredibly decadent. It was expensive ($60 with tip/person), but a special afternoon.

Outstanding experience of ambiance and food. Sitting with in an atmosphere of elegance makes you feel special. The food courses each exquisit and the attention to the details were second to none. The folks who served the meal provided elegance and class and the highest regard in providing outstanding service. It's worth every penny. Start saving them now.

Surroundings are fit for a King or Queen to dine. The service is excellent from all the staff. The food is tasty with good presentation. I definitely recommend this place whenever you are in the downtown Seattle area!

Great brunch spot in a historic hotel. High ceilings, crystal chandeliers, nice open room. The buffet is small, but packs lots of healthy options. Ordering off the menu gets you hearty portions. The packages are enormous and you get three of them. The king oyster mushroom on toast with poached eggs was delicious. Great service!

Went for tea and the experience was odd. They had us get up from the table and smell each of their teas. Then, when we were served, we didn't have the ability to desteep so the pot was over-brewed by the end. Also service was delayed in offering us a chance to order different teas.
