This was my first and last time at Billie’s Cafe. The food wasn’t disgusting; it was just not good. I ordered meatloaf with stuffing and green beans for lunch. The stuffing came out square (??). It tasted like it was something frozen that had just been warmed up. To my surprise, the meatloaf had no taste. I had to add a lot of salt to eat it. I like diner food and can’t think of another diner I’ve been to where I didn’t like the food, but this place is not for me. Sorry.

Billie's restaurant has been in Ranson for many years. It was located originally directly across from the Ranson city hall. It's new location is much more modern and i think has lost some of its coziness. However, the food quality has not changed a bit. Mainly offers home-style cuisine. The home made dinner rolls are excellent! This place has always attracted an "older" crowd, but doesn't discriminate. The staff is very courteous, quick and professional. If going for lunch, it will be crowded, but there's still room-no wait.
