Been there for lunch twice, and both times were outstanding. Tons of flavor and sauces with heat to your liking. The fish tacos were very good. One friend had nachos and was not impressed, but everyone else loved the food. Beer menu looks great, with lots of local choices. Addendum: been back several times. The flavor in each dish is impressive and I have continuously thought that I need to come back and try something new. The beers are worth coming in for, and if you don’t want to try the local flavor, they have some great specials (PBR). We were lucky to hit a Thursday night with live music, which was fun! 5 stars is an easy call.

Far and away, Black Bear is my favorite family restaurant. An easy going atmosphere, very kind staff, room for kids to be kids. Great live music. And the food is really good, both veg and meat offerings.. and the specials are always a win! Kids under 5 eat free from kids menu. Wow!

The atmosphere and overall theme of the restaurant is good enough, and the food is somewhere between good and very good. It's an interesting setup with ample room for families/children if that's your thing, and ample room for drinking/eating at the bar if that is your other thing. However, my two gripes are that the beer list was at least half IPA and I felt as if one or two of the wait staff was looking down at me with disdain for some reason. I'd go again.

This place has a nice home/ modern feel. The staff are wonderful. All the food is super fresh like no other. Really a hometown gem that needs to be visited often. They also have a beer collection on tap like I've never seen.yum.

Food is always amazing and the staff ALWAYS goes the extra step to make your visit pleasant. Ordering is easy, grab a menu while you’re in line, order and get a meal that is prepared when ordered with local, and fresh produce and local meets and/or tofu. Weekends bring live music and you can always find a house favorite on the brew list with new selections as often as daily and weekly. Hats off to Black Bear Burritos for being a customer friendly restaurant. You might even get a little on ya, but that’s ok.
