I loved the rustic setting. The woodwork, typical of a barn, makes it feel homey. The breakfast selection is varied and interesting. Polish, Irish, or Tex Mex breakfasts add a touch of multiculturalism to the restaurant. Food was delicious and abundant. Everything is made from scratch. The chef came out to ask us if anyone was still hungry. The waitress seemed like she was in a bad mood. She could have been more pleasant.

The corned beef hash was a joke! I’m a woman and did not fill me up or my son. Had coffee and waitress never came back for refill!! Next day son and his wife had omelets.NO FLAVOR! Hungarian stacked potatoes and Southern scramble were EXCELLENT! Need to have waitress be more friendlier. Especially to the guests that stay in the hotel. I know we aren’t regulars but treat us like we are!! If your not gonna serve alcohol beverages take out the bar. You get more tables in.

My friend and I went here for an early breakfast and we each ordered a half order of French Toast with chantilly creme. It was delicious. Our server, Rita, was so pleasant and attentive. Couldn't have asked for better. We had a lovely time and met the chef, Drew. He was great. Very clean restaurant too!

We ate at this cafe last weekend when we stayed overnight in the attached motel (Round Barn Lodge). It's spacious and has gorgeous woodwork, which gives off a nice, woody fragrance. The design of it is really unique. It was converted from a round barn with steeple ceilings to the present restaurant. We had a nice table and a very pleasant, capable server. The menu has many selections, though most are breakfast/brunch items. There are many Polish specialties. We didn't have any but I saw some of them on the tables of other diners and they looked really good, and smelled good too. I had buckwheat pancakes which were delicious, very hearty, and a generous serving. I couldn't finish it all. I had a side of scrambled eggs and those were OK. I can't remember now what my husband ordered, but I recall he remarked it was very good. It's a great place for breakfast and the service is good. We did not have a long wait for service or for our food. The decor is charming. The prices are excellent for the variety of selections, their quality and the generous portions. Anyone in the Spring Green, WI, area, whether staying or stopping on the way somewhere else, I recommend the Break of Dawn Restaurant, if they want a tasty, filling, hearty breakfast in an attractive setting.
