Had the chicken plate (don't remember the name) but it tasted great. The service was great and professional (even though we had a server in training). Had an old fashion and that tasted delicious as well. Overall a good experience and strongly recommend to try. Will be coming back on my next visit.

This is a very good choice for drinks or food. The bar is very well stocked and they offer a variety of very creative cocktails. The food selection is modest, but there is a good range from vegetarian to steak options. The quality of the food was very good, and the staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. Overall this is a great place for dinner or just for a few great drinks in the farm to table atmosphere.

Best cheese curds on the Capitol square. You won’t find a more dedicated and creative crew of bartenders in Madison. Go for a classic or something special from the seasonal rotating menu. Of course you can always go with bartender’s choice.

Merchant is a nice cocktail bar with very good brunch on the weekends and excellent bartenders. I like the atmosphere. Table service can be slow when busy, but it's a nice place for sure

Very nice establishment to celebrate an occasion or just a night of fun! The merchant burger is excellent, but merchant really shines through their cocktail menu. It is easy to stay a long time with friends; we enjoyed a lovely 3 hour dinner. There are many well placed acoustic devices on the wall, which make conversation easy without shouting.
