Growing up attending the Feast of Tabernacles in the Dells, the House of Embers was one of the fancier restaurants we'd go to yearly. After 25+ years I recently had the chance to return for memory sake and was disappointed. While their prices have certainly risen it seems nothing else has changed for the better. The interior screams 1970 - their menu selection as well. Our server claimed it as a supper club but it's a club we won't return to and were saddened overall. Food quality was not exceptional, neither was the service. The picture with the bread roll, I told the server I was on a restricted diet, so she only brought my husband bread... yep, seems they have a 1 roll limit per person!? Private rooms are still the same, it did bring up a little nostalgia but then evaporated pretty quickly. Thanks for the memories House of Embers, my curiosity has been satisfied.

My boyfriend and I had the chance to visit this beautiful restaurant. It has an old feel, but still looks nice. Clean and relaxed environment. The portions were great. The food tasted amazing. I had the shrimp with a side of the 1/3 ribs. He had mediterranean linguine. Ribs fell right apart sauce was great. If were ever back in Wisconsin would definitely come back. Service was great. She kept checking on us. She even gave us more bread when asked.

Cozy bar, but watch out for your servers. After you pay your bill they will chase you down outside and try to steal another bills worth of cash from you. Scam artists in a tourist town

Great food in a nice environment. Old school supper club, but not too stuffy. We eat here every year for our anniversary, and have never had a bad experience. Steaks are great and always cooked to perfection! Lobster tails are fresh and large. Nice selection of beers, wines and spirits. They make good cocktails. Only reason this is not 5 stars is some times the food comes out a little slow. This is more expensive, expect to spend about $150 for two people if you get a couple of drinks.

You'll be greeted by a sign asking you to turn off or leave your cell phone behind before entering this traditional supper club. Food is good, although very expensive. Atmosphere is cozy, from a beautiful glass patio to sitting by the fireplace, you'll feel at home. Stained glass chandeliers decorate the dining area. A Herb Alpert album cover and 1950s pin up reminiscent decor sets the mood in the men's room. Drink and dinner specials before 6pm - come early!
