Don’t get me wrong, the food was great. But the poor experience far outweighed the meal. Especially for what you are paying. We were halfway through our meal before it became clear who our server was because the manager and other wait staff kept having to fill in as we sat... and sat.... and sat..... I clocked 45 minutes between when we finished the appetizer course and when the entrees arrived. Not worth it if you are spending $300 on a dinner for two.

I took some friends to Bacchus for dinner. Everyone ate something different from menu. All were delighted. I had the venison which I love. It was the best I've ever had, including the venison I have often enjoyed in Switzerland where it is a specialty. I can not wait to come back and have it again. I could not eat all of my portion and took the rest home for lunch the next day. I warmed it up and it was absolutely delicious! Thank you for being such consummate chefs!

WOW, just WOW!!!! Celebrating with some colleagues over a Seven Course Chef's Table with Wine Pairings. I don't even know what to say! Thank you Dan and Lydia for your stellar service! Vince, Thank you for orchestrating the evening and your wine pairings were spot on! Amazing and talented Chef, Nicholas, an honor to enjoy your AMAZING creations and also to meet you. Thank You for taking the time to chat with us!!!! Joe and Jennifer, the extra treat was so kind of you! Much Appreciation and Gratitude! I couldn't possibly say enough about your establishment other than being Super Special! Just the way you made us feel tonight! Cheers!!!!

Overall good experience. We did the New Years 5 course meal. The food was great and we enjoyed the simple contemporary atmosphere with two good friends. The portions were modest, and our appetites were fulfilled. The old fashion was rich. Wait staff was very polite and made us feel welcome. I would say though that if you are going to spend $300 on a meal for two, you may as well just go to Sanford. Nothing else compares to the quality of service and attention to detail.

There's so many places to eat Downtown, many of them great. Bacchus is above and beyond the great expectations. We went last summer it it was still fairly busy, but we were able to get a table with a reservation. We had a really cool view. Our server was great. The chefs signature tasting menu was amazing. Don't skip out on this restaurant. We will definitely be going back when we are back in town.
