Absolutely delicious and an exquisite presentation. Some of the best cheeses on the cheese plate that we've ever tried. Friendly and attentive staff. Unique combinations of locally sourced products. Dress well but a tie is not necessary. The intimate atmosphere mixed with the incredible meal made for an unforgettable evening.

My goodness. What a hell of an evening and meal. The meal was an experience, and the wait staff was ridiculously nice. Typically when you go to a dinner like this you prepare for a “stuffy staff”, couldn’t be father from the truth. From the explanations of everything, to the caring nature, the staff make you feel actually at home. The food here is ridiculous and your expectations walking through the door will be as such. The chef and his staff some how exceed your expectations. There is a uniqueness and flavor coupling that you won’t be prepared for. The level of appreciation I have for what I tasted tonight cannot be put into words. There is a technical skill here that everyone can understand why the chef is a James Beard award winner. Lastly, I want to give a mention to the wine pairings. They were all just phenomenal and exceeded our expectations, every course. Final word, the cafe mocha is the last piece, that makes you take a deep breath and look across the table and go, wow, what just happened here... the answer is, an experience. Thank you to the chef and the staff for an incredible evening, cheers.

Our latest experience at Sanford Restaurant was typical for this place - simply amazing. Everything from the fantastic wine list with plenty of well thought out and affordable options, to the amazing food, to the 5 star service makes it one of the absolute best restaurants we have been to. We actually ordered off the ala carte menu this past time instead of the 7 course tasting menu and we were not disappointed. The pear Roquefort torte and smoked whitefish appetizers were great, but the torte really knocked it out of the park. The pumpkin soup was velvety and smooth with a more subtle flavor than most. One of the most unique tastes I have had was the fennel broth soup - clear, flavorful and light. The Scallops were some of the best flavored Scallops we have enough had anywhere, although the lentils with it were a touch to earthy with the delicate Scallops. The Elk loin I had was one of the better dishes I've had at Sanford - tender and packed with flavor unlike any I've had before. The desserts are always impressive and they have a nice number of choices available. I can't say enough about the service as the staff at Sanford's set the standard. They are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable regarding the menu.

Sanford is one of my absolute favorite restaurants of all time. I love the experience, the time that they take to explain things, to listen, and they're incredible attention to detail. Their food is amazing, service is amazing, you can always count on very unique quality dishes. And don't even get me started on the desserts!

I went there with a friend to have a nice dinner. The dinning room is small and cozy. We did go there on a weekday late evening so it was a little empty which was nice. The staff was really friendly and attentive. (not overly) The food was well prepared and they explain everything before you order so, there won't any surprises.
