As always, I have to praise a place for their 6 person booths. Not only so they have round booths, like in my picture, but many large, 6-person regular booths. That said, there was a wait when we came in, and it's easy to understand why. The restaurant is gorgeous- from their built-in fish tank to their beautiful fan piece, large, and clean. They have a separate bar area (you don't need to be 21 to sit in there though, so don't fret), and many other spacious areas to sit in. But let's talk about the food. I ordered the Dijon chicken and mushrooms with macaroni and broccoli cheese casserole. It's one of my favorite meals there, and the Dijon sauce is exsquisite. I highly recommend the broccoli cheese casserole- by far the best side on the menu. Our food was hot and fast. Our dessert- not so much. We ordered the dessert minis, and waited twenty minutes to be told they were not currently available. Not to fret, though. The server informed her manager to make it right and we were instead given a gorgeous and enormous chocolate cake sundae on the house. Other food recommendations include the onion rings and the maple bacon chicken sandwich. A well-earned four stars.

Incredible food made nearly entirely from scratch! Our whole party loved their food, ranging from burgers to pork chops. The BBQ offerings are also outstanding. Wide variety of hand made side dishes to complement the main meal. Our service was excellent even on a very busy night. Attentive wait staff and food came out quickly.

Good American food. All seems to be made fresh, as their name says scratch kitchen. We visited a few times when heading north to go shopping. It gets quite crowded on weekends, but they seem to get you in fairly quick. The homemade hot cookies are so good! Never had a bad dish here. There is something for everyone and service is very friendly and efficient.

Cheddar's is a solid go to restaurant. Fresh delicious food and family friendly. Modern and comfortable decor. We had a few issues with take out after they first opened but i'm sure it was just the staff trying to get into a motion. Pros: Multiple huge tables and booths for large families. The food is well proportioned. The drinks are mixed right. They're always accommodating to get the kids meals out first and never fuss about the occasional mess the kids make. (always tip extra when the kids make a mess!) Con: There is usually always a 10-20 plus minute wait for a table starting around 5pm almost everyday! (But that's because they're so good.) The menu is small, but doesn't change that often.

Cheddar's is pretty standard-fare casual dining. The staff is pleasant enough, the atmosphere is actually quite nice and subdued, and even when they're busy they seem to be able to deal with the traffic pretty well. That being said, the food is really uninspiring. You know when you sit down to a meal at a restaurant and you KNOW that the food on your plate has been cut from a bag and microwaved? Sure, it might taste OK, but there's that subtle...something that's just really off about it. We've been there a few times now. Fish, pasta, beef, burgers...they all have a general sameness to them. Not bland, but not interesting. You would almost want for there to be something actually wrong with the food or the place, just to give it a little more distinction somewhere. No, it's all pleasantly bland, pleasantly the same.
