My boyfriend & I live very close to Johnny V’s. We love coming here. The servers are always wonderful, the inside of the diner is always decorated very festive according to whatever holiday is upon us, the food is always good, the prices are fair, & they keep the coffee flowing. You don’t even have a chance to notice your cup is almost empty before they’re offering you more. My boyfriend is a very picky biscuits & gravy lover & he LOVES it here. I’m crazy about the chicken & dumpling soup. I’ve tried several other items & all were great. The breakfast burrito is huge!

Most underrated pizza in Milwaukee, period. I've been to a lot of pizza places and this place frequently produces pizza that's better than the best of list that you'll read in local Publications. It's absolutely the best kept secret in Milwaukee. Breakfasts are also decent, the sandwiches can be quite good. This is an All-American Diner that has great decor, great prices, good service and honest to goodness, down-to-earth food to feed your American soul. It is what it is, and serves food with no pretensions whatsoever. I can't think of a better late night spot when everything else is closed and you're still looking for late night chow and a Miller Lite.

The pizza was great. It had a thin crisp crust and nice tomato sauce. Great for a daily week special. Fantastic to find a place that serves Coke and the restaurant has a Coke theme. Relaxed atmosphere, great staff!

Waitress didn't bring salsa, she brought be salsa so that was whatever. Then I realize my scrambler had no cheese. She said she could bring me some but it was too late for that. She wouldn't give me a discount for her mistake, and said I wasn't charged for it when I was. My friend got the chicken pita. The chicken tasted horrible and was dry. My friend also asked if they use fresh or frozen beef for the burgers. The waitress didn't know the answer. The waitress was nice but it was poor quality of food and she messed up too much.

I have been going here for 20 years but this visit was the last! No other customers in the restaurant and toast and hash browns came out cold. They told me they can't substitute pancakes for toast. So I told her to add a blueberry pancake. First off I wish I would have known it was pie filling, not blueberries. And they charged $4.49 for that one pancake. When I said something at the register the lady gave me an attitude. So I gave it back and another server told me to leave! Horrible experience!!! To many other restaurants that care about their customers!
