My friend has been wanting me to come here for a while, and I'm pleasantly surprised! They serve Thai and Vietnamese food. Very fresh and flavourful tasting food, very friendly staff, and I definitely am leaving full, and very happy. I'll definitely be back again soon!

Tom is simply the best. You'll always get service with a smile here. All of the food is amazing, but my favorite dishes are the vermicelli noodle bowls and the bo luc lac (steak bites). You'll also get the best spring rolls here!! Don't let the location fool you, Lan's serves delicious food! Edit: Tom and his family have moved on, but the new family running the business is friendly and have the recipes that Tom and his family made. The food is still great!

Great Vietnamese food. Great location, close to NAIT and Glenrose Hospital. Lunch is a busy time but service is always fast so a wait is not long and it's worth it. Reasonable prices.

I've been coming here for over 5 years now. Seen them go through so many changes but one thing that is constant is quality. The food is just wow. Made with true old fashioned recipes your guaranteed to enjoy anything off their menu. Got to give a shout out to Tom the owner, since the first time I've gone he remembered me by name. If I go in without my kids he will still ask how they're doing by name. Hoping this place has a long lasting future cause I'll be going till one of us goes under lol

I was never a fan of Lan’s though I will agree that the previous owner was super friendly and seemed like an all around great guy. The restaurant now has new owners and I went for a visit today at lunch. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee which was $6.50 but it comes with a scoop of ice cream on top (I asked for it without the ice cream). The coffee was disappointing as it wasn’t the traditional drip-style that you usually get in other Vietnamese restaurants. It came already pre-mixed. It also lacked the strong coffee flavour that I am accustomed to. I ordered the Pho Bo (Vietnamese beef stew). This was my first time trying this dish (a departure from my usual pho dac biet) and I was pleasantly surprised. The broth was flavourful and the meat was perfectly tender. Service was friendly. Would definitely come back to try some of their other menu items.
