Came here with my boyfriend and his parents the other day. It was not busy in the restaurant, but that was nice because we got some quiet to talk while eating. The food we ordered was just delicious! I couldn't get enough fish sauce either. The larger bottle of sake was almost too much, but we got through most of it. The Vietnamese style coffee after dinner was nice, too - it's always a good treat. The service was also very attentive, informative and prompt. The restaurant decor looked a little on the old side, but I didn't mind that. Not all restaurants need to look modern and slick. We'll definitely be back!

My girlfriend is a vegetarian, a while back we ordered veggie spring rolls and when we at them we found they had pork in them. This isn’t bad in itself but the wait staff denied any pork being in the spring roll. Since there’s nothing worse than being called a liar, we cancelled our order and left. The manager understood, but there was no going back with the way the issue was handled. Overall it’s too bad, we both used to enjoy coming here as the food was pretty good.

This place has the best coconut curry chicken soup...however I get it made with tofu. Highly recommend that you try this.

No wonder this has been an Edmonton institution for 30 years! Amazing food. Had the spicy Vietnamese soup (Bun Bo Hue), which was great, with an outstanding broth. Nice location, clean, intimate. Excellent service!

This place gets very busy during weekday lunches, but oddly it's usually not that busy on weekends. Been twice and enjoyed it both times. Green onion cakes are awesome!
