This is an old-school Italian "hole in the wall", and if you like places that are quirky and homey, then you'll love it. We first came here over 16 years ago, and it looked then like it was decades old, cluttered with curios. We recently went with our two teenagers and had an excellent meal, with warm, personal service and large portions. Homemade gnocchi, spaghetti with a creamy clam and mussel sauce, lasagna, everything was excellent. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable for the portions and quality of food. This is one of those places where you have to embrace the eccentricity and authenticity. Don't expect it to be Earl's.

I like the atmosphere and the staff is friendly, but a little nervous. This restaurant has been open since 1980, and the thing is in that time, Vancouver cuisine has evolved to be some of the best in the world. The variety and value in this city is unsurpassed, but I don't feel this establishment has kept up. I want to support local and quirky, but I've also come to expect a lot from a restaurant. I don't want to feel I could have done better eating at home. The food was mediocre, and not hot enough. I don't think there is enough turnover to warrant the food being made fresh daily. The staff was very friendly with my table. I was curious about this place but will not be returning. I'm sorry, but in 2018 in Vancouver, if you are charging $20+ for a plate of food, it had better knock my socks off. Want eclectic and funky? Go across the street to What's Up HotDog, or eat Mexican at El Barrio /X-site just west two blocks.

Great Italian experience. Extremely nice staff and felt like I was at my grandmas place for lunch. Sauce and meatballs tasted great and noodles were cooked perfectly. I would definitely return for lunch and looking to go for dinner soon.

Went for lunch. Kitzy decor small space but homey feel. Family run place since the 80s and they make you feel at home. Lots of table checks, very friendly and chatty. Wine list usually out of stock but they take you to a cupboard full of wine and you find a bottle you like. Hilarious. Very informal. Very tasty basic Italian. Great prices, reasonable and good portions. Great to support locals. Will be back. Dinner next time.

The service was good, very pleasant. It was dinner time and the place was empty . I ordered the lasagna special. All the food i had was sub par. I could of paid just as much for food of better quality somewhere else. I won't return .
