Poor service. Asked for tea twice and ended up having to go to the counter to get it. They handled the cups and bowls with their fingers on the rim. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and they wrote it down but they never told the chef so by the time the chicken and shrimp were done, they had to bring in another raw serving and I had to wait a total of 30 minutes to get my food when everyone else at the table had theirs. The fried rice was over cooked (and I found 3 pieces of egg shell in it), the sushi was flavourless, and all of the courses were cooked the exact same way with the same seasoning, butter, garlic, and sesame seeds. I wasn’t sure if it was sauce or just plain grease in my mouth when I ate the bean sprouts. Do not go here. It’s not worth it

Service was very minimal and extremely slow- our main course arrived well over an hour after we arrived for a party of 2. The seafood entree was all deep fried, and parts tasted freezer burnt. I wanted to enjoy it, and sadly for the price and experience, I’m rating it 1 star.

We went to Yokohma for dinner a couple weeks back on a groupon. I have to say it was quite a lot of food. The ambiance is well lit and would be great for kids. The chefs were fun and entertaining as well. I plan on taking my niece and nephew there for a fun evening.

We went here for dinner last night.. Party of 5, and not one person liked their food. Immediately when we walked in, we debated leaving due to the cleanliness of the restaurant, but we decided to tough it out! First off, the waiter dropped off our tea with his fingers in the tea, and the tea was luke warm. It took him 20 minutes to come back and take our order, after our order was taken, it took another 20 minutes to get our miso soup, which he again delivered with his fingers in our bowls. All of our entrees and appies came at different times, he actually forgot that I had ordered a green salad and said he would bring it right away. It was not your traditional green salad, it was literally lettuce, with some carrot, 1 celery stick and Italian dressing. When our mains came out, they didn't even have proper tempura sauce for the tempura, they were using watered down soy sauce. The yam in the roll didn't even have the skin removed, nor did the yam in the tempura. It took almost 2 hours for our food to arrive, and at this point we were ready to leave. In the end we just asked for the manager and advised that we were not going to pay for our meals. We were still actually waiting for one more plate to arrive, and in the end they gave it to us to go. By the time we got the food home, it was so greasy, we couldn't even heat it up. The worst dining experience I have ever had, would never return. I am very sad to see how far gone this restaurant has become, as a child it was my favourite place to eat, because you got to take your shoes off and the food was always great.

This place has been around for a long time in Steveston. Teppanyako is popular as well. The prices are quite reasonable and the food is good (above average). The menu could use some updating. Sashimi slices are quite large but salmon nigiri are slightly thin. Their light lunch combo was enough for myself and came out quite fancy looking (see picture) and not in a bento box. The entrance is a bit hidden off Moncton. Lots of parking at the back but it can be difficult considering Steveston is busy. This is a place I’d take a friend as I’ve been coming here for years.
