Simple rustic decor, delicious food, but unfortunately small portions. My family of 8 visited the restaurant today and all the men left hungry. We order a range of food from the lunch menu, from fish and chips, to short-rib sandwiches. The flavours were exceptionally delicious for all items ordered. Service was fast and friendly, and seating was comfortable for the adults. There were no highchairs for the children which made it uncomfortable for family eating. Price was high for the portion size, but would be fair for the quality if portions sizes were increased.

This is a small, nondescript building with a Chinese restaurant next door. I'm thinking that reservations are a good idea for a weekend dinner. We got there at 4:30, were offered the "appi hour" selections as well as the dinner menu. We opted for dinner. Hubs got scallops and prawns and I ordered the seafood trio ( two types of fish plus prawns). Both came with coconut rice and crisp veggies. Both of our dinners had an orange ginger glaze that had a slight bite and I really want the recipe! My husband devoured his and I brought leftovers home. They were so easy to work with as far as food restrictions. We both require gluten free plus he is dairy free. I am having difficulty not eating the rest of mine tonight because it was so good. This was one of our favorite meals since we started eating out. I can see The Cabin becoming the go-to restaurant for us. April 30, 2018. We went back to The Cabin this weekend and had another wonderful meal! Hubs did a repeat and I had lamb chops. His was delicious again. He even enjoys the sauteed veggies that come with it. Oh, and he devours the coconut rice, even though he tells me he doesn't like coconut! Mine was also very good. I think I could bathe in those mashed potatoes💕

Great little restaurant. Love the atmosphere and service is always great. Food for the most part is delicious and perfectly cooked, however their sauces spoil the flavours. They are either too salty or too sweet, which is so unfortunate as you have to scrape them off to enjoy your meal. I've been here 3 times now, the first time in August 2016 my meal was perfect and everyone I was with really enjoyed their dinner. Last couple of times both in 2017, my dinner and others I was dining with, had complaints. Both the lobster ravioli and seafood trio are way too sweet. The seafood was cooked to perfection, but the sauce was inedible - unless you like pure honey poured over your fish and rice. I've also had the beef short ribs, again cooked amazingly, but ruined by the sauce. The rack of lamb, also amazingly cooked, but if I recall correctly, this one is incredibly salty. Not sure who is tasting these sauces before they go out, but clearly their taste buds have been numbed and they need another opinion. I'm sure I'll be back as the food is good, I'll just ask for sauce on the side.

Delicious lunch in a friendly, attractive setting Super salad was varied, tasty and reasonably priced. Friends had fish tacos, quesadilla and club house sandwiches (made with 2 slices of bread) and all were well-fed and satisfied. Service was prompt and pleasant. Altogether a worthwhile destination after a beautiful walk along Crescent Beach.

Great little place! Had the trainwreck poutine and it was great! Wish there were curds in there... But the sauce was nice, sweet, and smokey. Fries were great! Can't wait to come back to try other things on the menu
