We just had our wedding last weekend at Brock House restaurant and we had a fantastic experience. The communication with the staff was prompt. We needed to customize the menu quite a bit, and they were more than willing and flexible to work with us to achieve what we wanted. On the day of, the staff was efficient and courteous. The food was great and got many compliments. The tent setting is quite romantic, and the outdoor ceremony was beautiful. The tree we got married under wasn’t quite full yet, but it was just starting to bloom which was still nice. Highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for that west coast experience. Can’t get any better than here.

A few weeks ago my husband and I hosted a surprise engagement brunch for our son & his fiancee at Brock House. We really appreciated all the help Melissa gave us with the planning & everything went very smoothly on the day of the event. Timo and the servers were all very efficient & courteous. The food & ambience was excellent. It was a lovely and memorable event for all of us! Thank you so much!

What a strange experience. We decided to try something new for Christmas Eve and go to Brock House for their Christmas Eve buffet. They had limited seating and ours was at 7:30pm but we didn't end up being seated until just past 8pm because they were behind schedule. That was okay though it would have been nice if they'd set up some seats rather than have everyone huddled in a tiny, freezing cold foyer. The real fun started after that. The host took us to our table and before we could sit down he was gone without a word. Ours was a small room in between the buffet and the dining room. Beside our table was a storage table with piles of napkins and miscellaneous junk on it along with a high chair sitting randomly in the middle of the room. The real dining room, which I could see from my seat, was decorated beautifully with lights and a tree. Our room was dark and adjacent to another area and the staff were in and out of the door - directly behind my seat - all evening. We headed to the buffet and when we came back we noticed the messy storage table beside us had been cleaned up although the high chair was still sitting smack in the middle of the room. I took my seat and realized I had just sat on a huge, round tray. I had to laugh it was so ridiculous. Whoever cleaned up the table must have placed it on my seat and forgotten it. We had to ask the staff member at the pasta station where we could get water or any drinks and he said ask at the bar. Much later a waiter came and brought us water. We got the wine menu but he must have taken 15-20 minutes to return that I changed my mind. The food itself was average and if the service hadn't been a problem I'd upgrade this review to maybe a 2 or 3 star. A lot of the desserts had been picked over and not replaced. The profiteroles were toppled over on to the table, some about to roll into the hole in the table which was the garbage. As it approached 9pm, the Christmas lights in the dining room were switched off and the staff appeared to be cleaning up the buffet table despite the fact that many people were still seated and clearly eating. At the end of the meal the only words the waiter spoke was 'Do you want your receipt?' He spun around and was gone without so much as a thank you. What a weird place. If we hadn't dropped $150 on this evening it'd actually be quite comical how bad it was. The service was horrendous for such a seemingly nice restaurant in an amazing location. I truly fear for anyone who has their wedding here if they can't even handle a simple buffet.

I rented the space on behalf of my workplaces for our Christmas party. We had the conservatory and lounge. The staff were extremely accommodating and we had a great time! The food was delicious and the venue was decorated warmly and festively so that I didn't have to worry about it. Everyone has been really lovely to work with and I really enjoyed the thorough and personalized service. The staff on the night were courteous, attentive and just awesome people! They did their very best to ensure everything was perfect. We had a lovely evening that was stress free and a beautiful setting. The booking process of course has been fantastic – I appreciate that there is always someone available to answer my questions. It was truly a pleasure! Thanks so much!

A Beautiful, carefully kept heritage site. Turned into community centre for elders on weekdays and restaurant on weekends. Had a wedding lunch buffet there and all guests agreed it's a high quality one. Some say the roast beef was better than those they recently had in a hotel buffet! Service was great and for a buffet they seems to be sufficiently staffed -- mindful for the fact that there were two weddings happening at the same time. A special note about the venue as a wedding place : even though our party did not block the entire place, there were sufficient spacing between the two weddings. The entire second floor was ours, and we didn't feel like we were "sharing the place" with another party. Recommended for those who are looking for a wedding venue
