Good place for drinks and hanging out on the patio. We found the food to be pretty expensive and not to taste. Mac and cheese was spicy and tasted like very strong blue cheese, not to our liking. Fish tacos lacked a flavorful sauce and was breaded without much flavor. However, each table gets a free serving of nachos and cheese which would be great for groups of people!

We drive from Burlington to Dundas to get our Tex-Mex fix at the Thirsty Cactus. As far as pubs go - the Thirsty Cactus is worth every star. Warm, friendly service; unique heritage setting; plenty of TV's and a friendly clientele. The TC is not pretending to be something it's not - like a lot of bars and restaurants these days. Good casual food, good service and a nice atmosphere. Great specials. Something on the menu (and on tap) for everyone.

We ordered the nachos which was good but could have used more layering of the cheese as there was many naked chips. The chicken on the nachos could use some Tex-Mex flavor as its plainly grilled. The server was attentive and payed attention to details of our order. Maybe the rest of their food has more flavor. I'll give this place another chance and order something else next time.

Local standard. Good food. Fast service. Menu changes often enough to be interesting.

This is a chill spot to hangout with friends. Food is pretty good, nachos could use more toppings. Anijitos are my fav and the burritos are good. It is quite loud though. Also its super hot if you are seated in the front and freezing if you are seated by the back door so wear layers! Service was okay, very friendly people, we got our food faster then we got our bill though.
