Cute little house restaurant. Owners are sweet and thoughtful. I ordered the dried turnip and preserved pork entree, and the owner thought it might be too spicy or "Chinese", which is considerate, in case I ordered and didn't like. I loved it though. Pickly, salty, crunchy with a bit of a spicy, numbing flavour. Plain rice bowls are free. I wish they served tea without me asking, because that's usually what happens when you visit an Asian restaurant, and I enjoy it a lot. I'm sure if I asked for it, they'd provide though. Also hoped they would have Chinese iced green tea in bottles - they have a few aloe drinks, but they were artificially flavoured, so I wasn't interested. Overall, liked the place, would go back to support the owners and try some other foods.

The restaurant is small and just a little too tiny. It's a refurbished family home, so that makes sense. The food is decent, about as good as you would expect home-cooked Chinese food to taste. However, this is not where you want to go for quick service. The food is made for you by one person, so it takes quite a bit of time. The English on the menu is also a little shoddy, but you can get by with it if needed. They don't supply real utensils (they have tiny plastic spoons and wooden break-apart chopsticks), but drinks are self-serve (there's an open fridge) and water is free to grab as you please. The restaurant is usually filled with Chinese students from Columbia, so it's usually rowdy. The food portions are pretty decent and you can definitely get full, but it's a tad more than I would be willing to pay.

The most authentic and non-msg Northern Chinese restaurant in Hamilton. Spring onion pancakes and Tianjin buns are out of this world.

Food was ok but staff were very friendly! Owner was probably one of the nicest owners I’ve ever met!

I'm guessing family owned and super nice people. Food is yummy, filling and incredibly affordable!
