Cozy, friendly and helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere. Fair prices/Large portions for food. I had the fish and chips and much enjoyed it, but will admit there was a little room for improvement. The batter got very soggy on the bottom because of the way it was presented on the plate. Aside from that it was a memorableble and quality dining experience!

5 of us went there on a Tuesday evening for a birthday celebration. It was 1/2 price wings. The wings were cold and hard. How hard? Well lady actually cracked her molar and it can't be repaired. My boneless chicken was so hard that when I cut it, no easy task if flew across the table. I know we should have said something at the time but it wasn't until we left that we talked about it and we all felt the same. 1 lady order the pizza and said it was great. The waitress was very pleasant. We reserving we asked if they did anything for birthday's and they said they could bring out a dessert. Which they did, but they charged us for it. This visit left a very bad taste in our mouths and we won't be back anytime soon.

second time at this place. The waitress this time was just like the one I had on my first visit- an absolute doll. The menu is a bit intimidating at first but just ask and you will be guided through it. The portion sizes are big and they back that up with quality. Lets talk about rare. I love my steak blue to rare and I asked if they could do that- she knew exactly what I was talking about and I did get what I asked for. The rest of the meal was a heap of food and I mean a heap of very well cooked vegetables and garnishes. This by the way is a rare place that serves steak and does not push steak sauce- if its seasoned and cooked right- you DON'T need sauce and they proved it. The reason I went back was based on my first time there with a burger and fries order and that was a very pleasing experience too.

Unbelievably good food for such an unassuming place. I had the Beef Dip which was amazing and a Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert which was heavenly.

Service is lacking. Chicken parmesan swimming in what seems to be the same sauce as mussels but they added pesto. Chicken had no taste.
