Secret Happy Hour

WE were flying early out of Pearson and stayed at a hotel very near the terminal. The menu at our hotel didn't excite us so we explored other locations nearby on Airport Road. We had never tried this restaurant but decided to give it a go. When we approached the door we saw that we were 30 minutes in advance of their posted hours for dinner but as we were leaving, a person in the parking lot told us that they had recently started to open early for happy hour in the bar. In the end, we ate at the bar. It was not busy and we received great service. Thank you, Amanda! We have no complaints about the food and intend to return again. We have even talked about staying at the Holiday inn that is adjacent to the restaurant.

NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE - You will be sorry.

0 stars. NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE to avoid your event being ruined by the incompetency of the management. I had a confirmed reservation for my birthday created well in advance, inviting people who flew over to celebrate with me. 5 days prior to the event I got a call from the restaurant indicating they have cancelled the reservation because "they forgot the restaurant would be closed on the reservation date". I will never deal with them again and recommend you to think twice before knocking on their door - you will be sorry.

My wife and I visited for our anniversary lunch. The wait staff were extremely friendly and polite. We got complimentary bread to start, which was buttered and a little garlicky. I ordered the mixed grill, and she got the 3 course special. My chicken was almost all breast meat and had a fantastic infusion of herbs and spices. The 4 oz steak was tender, delicious and perfectly cooked medium well. The crab cake was perhaps the best I've ever had, very tasty and practically no filler, unlike what you'd find at most other places. Not pictured is the sweet potato casserole that I ordered as a side; I found it too sweet, and regarded it as a dessert more than a savoury item. Since my wife is on a ketogenic diet, I got her banana cheesecake. It's an interesting twist on cheesecake, which I think I might not have enjoyed as much as I could have, since I was so stuffed by this time. I finished the bread pudding (which had whiskey) just prior, and it was pretty good with the custard. Good desserts overall, but this place really shines for its entrees.

Really expensive. Like really. But you know that going in. The mood was really nice. The waitress was super nice. They wouldn't even let us pour our own water, because we were to relax. The food obviously was great. The menu is a la cart so when you order a steak its JUST the steak. You have to order a side if you want one. The steak was really good, soft and well prepared. The plates come hot and that's something unique about this place. I will definitely go again but generally only on special occasions because it's price is quite high.

The steaks are tasty and not covered in heavy sauces so you can taste the actual quality of the meat. Vegetables are however drenched in oils and not very light or refreshing. The cheesecake is also delicious and not too heavy!

The shrimp app is FANTASTIC! The beef cuts are also spectacular and always cooked to perfection... and the creamed spinach - my oh my! The service is pretty top notch and friendly.

Try the new seafood tower. It's incredible. If you want to impress someone, this is the place to take them. I have a hard time NOT ordering a steak because the steaks are so incredibly delicious but the seafood tower is an new winner !
