The food here is amazing. Tastes absolutely wonderful! Love going here. Wonderful atmosphere, and great location. The owner is really friendly, and likes to know people's names. Especially if you are a regular.

Accommodates vegans! Went for brunch one Sunday morning in the fall of 2017 and they didn't have any vegan options on the menu. I asked the waitress if they could do something vegan and was given an epic plate of fruits and hash browns galore, instagram-worthy and impressive enough that my omni friends wished they had ordered the same as me. When I thanked them for accommodating my request, they simply said, "you gotta eat, we're not going to leave you hungry." Non-judgmental and super nice to boot, well worth the visit.

We had dinner there on New Years eve. The food and wine was excellent (as usual) but the best part was how well we were treated. Charles , his daughter and the rest of the team were so friendly. They made our evening! Our favourite restaurant in Ottawa by far!

We reguarly dine at Canvas. Charles and his staff provide top notch service and great food with a smile. Their nice selection of beer and wine pairs well with the menu and friendly, cozy atmosphere.
