Today I visited Extreme Pita with my mom and my friend. When asked, I started ordering my food and the woman taking my order left to go do something else while I was ordering. I decided to let the other two order first and then finally do my order last because I had a few questions about the sauces offered. When asked which sauces were dairy-free, both owners were unable to tell me or provide ingredients. I finally opted to get a bowl to take home and put my own dressing on, as I was not given options. When we sat down to eat, my friend tried one of the two small pitas that she had bought and really did not like the falafel. We went up to reorder something else, (and were prepared to pay full price, as it was not their fault that she did not like the falafel).. but we were not even offered a discount when they were told that she wasn't able to eat either of the 2 wraps. My friend ended up picking the avocado out of the other small wraps to put into her new one, as they were extra and there was barely any avocado. One of the owners came to the table and let me know that he found a vegan sauce and gave me it as a side as we were leaving. I let him know that unfortunately, I would not be back as they did not do anything to make up for my friend's bad experience. I gave him an opportunity to fix the situation and he did not offer to do so. Overall, the customer service we received was very rude (including the female owner rolling her eyes while my family ordered our food). I had been to this location a few weeks back and my girlfriend and I received the same poor customer service from different female employees. My food was ok when I finally got home to eat it, but I needed to add dressings from home (and unfortunately there was very little avocado even though I paid extra for it). Hopefully the management here will learn to consider their customers feedback and can improve their product knowledge as well as their customer service skills.

Update Feb 28/18: Food is still not being prepared well! Want your food grilled? HA, 60 seconds on the stove is what you’ll get. It’s just being heated. Like before, mushrooms and onion are still completely raw. Why do I keep coming back here lol I keep hoping for improvements and nope, not happening. Lettuce is rusting, but they said vegetable order comes today. So instead of going to the Loblaws in the same parking lot they are in for some fresh lettuce, they choose to sell rusty lettuce. This place is nothing like it was 2 years ago. Def the last time I go. It’s too bad really because their options aren’t bad. _________ Posted 11 months ago:Haven't been in a while (used to go every other day to this location) , and I've gone 3 times in 2 weeks and all I see is food being prepared as lazily as possible. Each time thinking okay hopefully this is better than the last. Nope. Today for example, chicken, onion and mushrooms go on the grill. Souvlaki Salad.. Literally left it on there hardly long enough to heat the meat (didn't mix it or flip it even once, just a pile sitting there)... throws it on the salad. Mushrooms are still raw, onion still totally raw. Then what seems like the smallest amount of dressing ever is put on top of everything, which is quickly absorbed leaving all the lettuce at the bottom dry and sauce less. Mixing hardly helped.

Yikes! Went in for a healthy lunch, I got that. The food was alright, but damn $7 for a small Buffalo Chicken Pita with 70% lettuce, 20% other toppings, 10% chicken... Almost told them to keep the sandwich at the cash. Next time I'm in the area, Loblaws ready to go section offers much more selection and better prices. It's no wonder all the other Extreme Pita locations around the city are closing down...

So I went in for a vegetarian type sandwich and I get nothing but attitude. I ask for pinapple, she says no. Not it will be extra just no. Super light on veggies and toppings. (when it was a veggie sandwich.) She starts touching everything in the kitchen, the garbage etc and hands right back in my food. I left with no food, i will never go back there.

Went here on Saturday only to be refused to come in as they decided to close at 7:30 pm instead of 9 pm. This is the 2nd time I've gone here and they've been closed before their posted closing hours. Pretty sure this is the only extreme pita in Ottawa as well. Horrible customer service.
