We go here all the time because it's the closest restaurant to us that doesn't look like like a delapidated outhouse. Yeah, we've got some interesting places here in South Ottawa. We don't come here for great food, we come for the convenience. This place is your typical chain type sports bar. There are smaller than average TVs mounted high on the walls throughout. It is really one big "open" rectangular floor plan with half-wall partitions separating the "bar area" from the "dining area", which really direct traffic patterns in the restaurant. Food is hit or miss, even for the same item from visit to visit. Last night my burger was overcooked and really tough, though on previous visits it has been really good. Kids meals are cheaply priced (and are nothing all that special) and include both a drink and a pretty legit desert. Service is usually really good. Last night we were seated in the bar area and the gentleman working behind the bar was also working the entire bar area. He was both courteous and efficient, even though the bar area was pretty busy.

Jonny Canuck's Bar & Grill is never satisfied with the generally accepted norm and enjoys leading the market to new heights. We offer great food, combined with reasonable prices, which are complimented by our exceptional service and contemporary design. Open 7am - 2am everyday, it doesn't matter who you are, what you are looking for or what time of day you're looking for it, Jonny Canuck's has it all; from breakfast to late night and everything in between. We have a little something for everyone all the time.

Went for breakfast. Food was hot and just okay. Would have appreciated a bit more for $14. Service was excruciatingly slow. I'd choose hunters across the way instead.

Barrhaven location. Could not get service no matter how many times we asked. Sat for an hour before ordering. Could not get the check. There are some things that are basic. Only had this problem at one visit but did ask (politely) several times. We were a big group. Very bizarre.
