I wish I could speak to the quality of the food, but I WAS REFUSED SERVICE. I entered and was not immediately greeted by the server, which I brushed off considering she seemed to be working alone and could have been having a bad day, etc. But, after crossing wordlessly in front of me three times, the "Hi," she tossed over her shoulder seemed... dismissive. But that was nothing compared to the woman who looked me in my eyes and told me there was no dinner to be had! I assumed we were somehow misunderstanding each other so I repeated my "Table for one, please," request. She tossed me a menu and when I indicated that I wanted to stay and eat -as opposed to take-out(?)- she told me "No." I said, "So you all aren't serving dinner right now? Dinner? I just want to eat." She kept mumbling something I couldn't hear, but very clearly articulated that dinner was not an option for me. I am still incredulous. But, I went across the street to Wazema and had a lovely meal. So, I don't know on exactly which basis Sora discriminates -I'm a queer black American woman- but don't go in there "expecting" to dine (even if they're open, and other people are dining), because you simply may not be served. #jimcrow

I came to this restaurant on a whim and the food was good. The waitress almost ruined the whole experience though. After getting her attention we would have to wait a very long time for service. She would always greet us with attitude - when she finally arrived at our table she would say "yeah?", we did not get a single water refill, no smiles. It was admittedly my first time eating Ethiopean but I think it was unnecessary for her to laugh at me eating as she walked past. I tried to be as polite as possible but the only friendliness the waitress showed was to the regulars.
