The Owl Of Minerva

My boyfriend and I usually go at least once every 2 weeks and order the exact same thing every time. The servers are so nice, and the food is always so satisfying. The one night we decided to go and we remember the one server who worked at the Yonge location. She was very rude, and did not want to serve us another side dish. So we asked another server and she was going to give it to us and the server that said no to us told her in Korean to not give it to us. Was pretty disappointed at that because it is our usual order every time we go. Other than that... the pork bone soup, and the spicy pork is our favourite. With Extra kimchi, extra bean sprout and extra cucumber 🙌🏽

First things first, our server Lin was nice. We came to this owl of minerva because we unfortunately live closest to the Scarborough location. We were ordering take out so that we could have an authentic Korean meal in the comfort of our home on a stat holiday. Lin was so nice to include Kimchi and pickled sides in our bags until SOME RUDE COWORKER OF HIS COMES OUT OF NOWHERE AND YELLS AT HIM SAYING THAT IT'S NOT INCLUDED. UM excuse me? I order Korean fried chicken all the time from The Fry or Mymy Chicken and they always include kimchi and pickled sides in our bags for FREE. Just as you would if you were to dine in. Anyway this rude coworker of his eliminated the kimchi and pickled sides from one of our bags as we ordered separately because this location also doesn't split the bill for whatever reason, and he says "IT'S NOT INCLUDED WE GIVE YOU ONE FOR FREE ONLY TODAY". We collectively spent $99.68 for our order. WHY THE HELL IS FREE KIMCHI AND PICKLED SIDES SUCH A BIG DEAL. So we were waiting for our last order and I expressed out loud to my family that I am going to write a horrible Google review and am never coming back to this place and guess what? Their kimchi and pickled sides are magically included in our last order. No thanks. My inlaws live in Mississauga and guess what? We have never had this type of service at the 24hr Mississauga location and yes they include kimchi and pickled sides when you order take out. I am not lying I religiously go to this place and order take out when I'm in Mississauga because the food is actually amazing. PLEASE DRIVE THE EXTRA KILOMETERS TO MISSISSAUGA YOU WILL NEVER BE LET DOWN I PROMISE YOU. As I said in the beginning of my review, we unfortunately live closest to the Scarborough location and they by far have the worst service.

We order 2 KamJaTang and requested it to be mild spicy for take out and enjoyed them very much. Just disappointed that they don't give any of the complementary appetizers other than Kimchi

Not the best Owl (where did all my potatoes go?) but the pork bone soup was fantastic as expected. Edit: the amount of meat in my soup this time was awesome!!! 😍

I can say it is the best place to get Korean food in Toronto. Fast and friendly service and good quality food. It can be compared to other restaurants.
