After reading those great reviews, I decided to give it a try and bought a pound of “medium fat” smoke meat. Half of them are fat, I mean fat without any meat. Very disgusting! I will never go back and not recommend.

This place has completely fallen off the rails. Inconsistent quality - smoked meat either too chewy, stringy or too salty. When you mention this to the staff they just shrug. It's too bad...used to be excellent.

Very quaint & cozy. I came for lunch mid-afternoon. I was the only client. Only one person on staff washing dishes & it took quite a few minutes before she asked if I was ready to order. In fact someone came in for take out after I had ordered and received his order before I got mine. I had only ordered a smoked meat sandwich & fries. Twice I told her no mustard & of course it came with it! She brought the bottle of pop unopened & with no glass. She seemed annoyed when I asked her to open it & to bring me a glass. Her shift was done & I watched her get into her car in a prime parking spot in front of the door while I had to park on the street about 5 cars away. When a new employee arrived, she parked in the spot. Not much thought for their own customers. Food was ok. Fries were not cooked enough. Once served, the owner sat in a booth across from me & started watching Netflix on a big screen which was right above my booth. I felt uncomfortable having him watching TV, as if he was in his living room, while I was eating so I moved to another booth. Can't say I was impressed.

It is or used to be run by Smoke Meat Pete's brother I was told, but nevertheless it's still pretty damn good.
